Le 8 septembre dernier, lors du Modern Art Museum de San Francisco, Google Instant, Google a dévoilé sa dernière invention, la recherche d’informations instantanée, Google Instant !
Google Instant, un service qui accélère spectaculairement la recherche d’informations
Une démonstration lors de l’évènement a montré l’extrême rapidité et efficacité de ce nouveau processus. A peine les premières lettres de la requête tapée, une liste de réponses s’affiche. Jusqu’à présent, l’accès à la recherche effectuée prenait quelques secondes. Avec Google Instant, cela ne prendra plus que quelques millisecondes !
Une liste défile dès que l’on commence à saisir les premiers caractères, via la reconnaissance de certains mots clés. Le temps d’accès aux informations et à l’affichage des réponses est ainsi considérablement accéléré.
“Google Instant a quelque chose de bluffant car les réponses s’affichent en même temps que l’on tape la requête dans le champ moteur. Les réponses arrivent donc plus rapidement sur l’écran. C’est plus fort que Google Suggest apparu mi-2008 sur Google.fr“, indique ITespresso.fr.
Compatible avec les navigateurs Chrome, Firefox, Safari et Internet Explorer 8, Google Instant est disponible pour les internautes localisés aux Etats-Unis, en Russie mais aussi dans la plupart des pays européens dont la France.
Attention cependant, le service ne fonctionne que si l’on est pré-enregistré dans les Services Google (Google Agenda, Documents…).
Des millions d’heures de recherche économisées grâce à Google Instant
Une étude menée par le groupe indique que même si les utilisateurs d’un moteur tapent lentement leur requête dans le champ moteur, ils lisent les réponses rapidement. On passe de 300 millisecondes pour la première opération contre 30 millisecondes pour la seconde !
Grâce à Google Instant, le moteur de recherche affiche la réponse quais simultanément dès la saisie des premiers caractères, à la reconnaissance d’un mot clé.
Entre 2 et 5 secondes seraient donc gagnées par recherche menée.
Google affirme également que » si tous les utilisateurs du moteur dans le monde passaient d’emblée sur l’interface Google Instant, 11 millions d’heures de recherche seraient économisés à chaque seconde…«
